A retail worker was threatened at knifepoint in an Aldi store this weekend.
Distressing footage has emerged on social media of an individual lunging at a shop-worker while wielding a knife. Gardai confirmed the incident took place in an Aldi store in Ashtown, Dublin 15 on Friday evening.
No arrests have yet been made following the worrying encounter. The person is understood to have exited the premises with the staff member left unscathed.

A Garda spokesperson told Dublin Live: "Gardai at Cabra were alerted following reports of an altercation at a supermarket in Ashtown, Dublin 15. It’s understood a staff member was threatened at knife point by the customer who then left the premises empty handed."
No one was harmed as a result of the incident. Investigations are ongoing.
