The Bord Gais Energy Theatre has announced six new shows that will be coming to Dublin in 2024 - as well as the return of some popular favourites.
Brand new musical I Should be So Lucky – based on the music of British pop writers Stock, Aitken and Waterman - headlines the new shows that will be hitting the Grand Canal stage. The jukebox musical features well-known hits including the Kylie Minogue song of the same name, Rick Astley’s Never Gonna Give You Up and Jason Donovan and Minogue's Especially For You.
Also arriving to the Bord Gais in 2024 will be courtroom drama Twelve Angry Men, based on the 1957 film classic starring Henry Fonda. Acclaimed Broadway and West End musical Come From Away, based on the events in a Canadian town during the week following the September 11 attacks, will also arrive to the Dublin theatre venue this summer.

The offbeat musical tells the real-life story of what happened when 38 planes, carrying roughly 7,000 passengers, were ordered to land unexpectedly at Gander International Airport in Newfoundland in 2001, and carries a strong message of hope and humanity's capacity for kindness. Meanwhile the return of Dublin Dance Festival and violinist Vladimir Jablokov with a new symphonic orchestra version Vivaldi’s Four Seasons have also been announced.
The newly-announced shows join an already impressive 2024 line-up for the Bord Gais Theatre, which includes the stage play version of the novel Life of Pi, Disney musical Aladdin, the London Palladium production of Wizard of Oz and acclaimed West End and Broadway musical Bonnie & Clyde. Hamilton will also make its long-awaited Irish debut, running from 17 September until 16 November 2024.
Plus due to popular demand, The Rocky Horror Show, Sister Act and long-running West End musical Wicked will all return to the Dublin venue, with Wicked undertaking a massive 7-week run from 23 July to 15 September. Special event highlights will also include five nights of Joanne McNally’s record-breaking Prosecco Express Tour (8 to 13 January), hypnotist Keith Barry presents Mind Games (27 January) and an evening with actor David Suchet; Poirot and More (28 January).
