Bushmills Irish Whiskey is set to collaborate with an award-winning chocolatier and launch new limited edition hot chocolate, as well as a series of cocktail masterclasses.
Gra Chocolates founder Grainne Mullins has been listed among this year’s Forbes European 30 under 30 for her artisan confections. The collaboration with Bushmills marks the annual return of the Black Bush Stories campaign which spotlights extraordinary individuals from across Ireland who "have dared to transform a traditional craft with imagination and innovation".
For an exclusive first-taste and make of the Gra Chocolates x Bushmills Black Bush limited edition hot chocolate join Grainne and Bushmills Brand Ambassador Mark McConville at a series of special Black Bush Stories Masterclasses that will take place on Sunday October 22 in Eatyard, Drumcondra with four time slots to choose from; 12pm, 2pm, 4pm or 6pm.

A must-attend event for whiskey and chocolate lovers alike, guests will learn about the expertise and artistry that goes into making both Bushmills Irish Whiskey and Gra Chocolates. The sessions will be fully immersive, kicking off with a guided tasting of Bushmills Black Bush by Mark followed by a cocktail tutorial to make a further two Gra inspired Bushmills Black Bush cocktails before heading home with a fabulous goodie bag. Tickets are priced at €20 and are available via Eventbrite.
Black Bush Stories will continue with a four-week bar takeover at Eatyard, Dublin, running every Thursday- Sunday commencing Thursday, October 19 until Sunday, November 12. The exclusive bar menu will include a selection of bespoke Black Bush cocktails, premium single malt expressions including Bushmills 10 Year Old Single Malt and Bushmills 16 Year Old Single Malt.
It will also include the exclusive Gra Chocolates x Bushmills Black Bush hot chocolate served three ways - a non-alcoholic version, a spiked version and a festive fruity spiked version.
Remarking on the partnership, the Galway entrepreneur said: “When I was invited to create something new with one of the most innovative whiskey brands in Ireland I had to say yes. Chocolate and whiskey go so well together.
"The intense sweet sherry profile of Black Bush balanced with the notes of my rich cacao chocolate make this a stand-out marriage of flavours to savour. It is pure happiness for people to enjoy especially as we approach the indulgent festive season!”
Gra Chocolates x Bushmills Black Bush hot chocolate is a limited-edition product, exclusively available to purchase from October 23 priced at €18 for 275gm at the Gra Chocolates official website.
