Dublin Live was invited to the stunning 'Halle Tony Garnier' arena in Lyon, France to experience this epic production at first glance.
It opens when a spikey lonely fly carrying an egg (OVO in Portuguese) wanders into a hidden busy underground world and a love story starts to evolve.
An array of beautifully coloured costume-fitted butterflies, beetles, caterpillars, spider's, dragonflies appear alongside crickets which you hear indecently in the auditorium before it even begins.

The audience is then treated to an insight to what goes on in their daily lives. The action is portrayed by worldwide talented Olympians, actors, gymnast's and amazing acrobats.
Jane Mallet, Senior Publicist on the tour told Dublin Live: "We took the unexpected pause during the pandemic to revisit OVO and did a three month recreation process at Cirque Du Soleil's headquarters in Montreal.
"There are 3 new characters, acts, artists and lots of other things for you and everybody in the family to discover in the show."
OVO's Director Deborah Colker says she took inspiration from the world of insects and wanted to promote the way of movement which reinstates throughout.
The live melodies and songs by 7 musicians which incorporate the production are magical and enchanting with a score by composer Berna Cappas inspired by the music of Brazil.
Overall, OVO has great interaction from the offset as the insects mingle with the audience.
It's designed for everyone including all the family, young and old and a perfect way to switch off from the hustle and bustle with them to embrace the other life under our feet.
If you're a parent who is sitting close to the stage area and a spoiler alert, beware you may be taking part in this smashing tale more than you were expecting, if at all.
The memories you'll cherish from seeing it though, will last forever.
OVO started touring in April 2009, so 14 years on the road apart from a break during the pandemic, it takes 12 hours to put the entire set up and 4.5 to dismantle before it heads off to its next destination.
Cirque du Soleil is a Canadian entertainment company and the largest contemporary circus producer in the world.
Located in the inner-city area of Saint-Michel, it was founded in Baie-Saint-Paul on 16 June 1984 by former street performers Guy Laliberté and Gilles Ste-Croix.
OVO comes to Dublin's 3Arena on Thursday 18th of April 2024.
