Gardai have seized drugs worth in excess of €20,000 following a raid on a property in a County Dublin Town. Cocaine worth more than €19,000 & cannabis products with analysis pending were found by the Divisional Drugs Unit based in Coolock Station during the search of a property in Swords as part of an anti-drugs initiative..
The seizure comes a day after cocaine and cannabis valued at over €100,000 was seized by Gardaí in Limerick. A man in his fifties was arrested and detained at a Garda Station in Limerick under the Drugs Trafficking legislation
Operation Tara is a national anti-drugs strategy that has been tackling drug crime since its introduction in July 2021. Garda Commissioner Drew Harris said at the time that its aim was to disrupt, dismantle and prosecute drug-trafficking networks at all levels in Ireland.
