Step back in time with these nostalgic photos
The 1990s were a transformative decade worldwide, with changing politics and cultural shifts across the likes of music, nightlife, film and fashion. Between trying to emulate our favourite boybands and girlbands and dancing the night away to the best club bangers, there's so much to be nostalgic for.
The '90s produced a culture so strong that it continues to be replicated in various ways today. Just look at Beyoncé's 'Break My Soul' or the return of platform shoes.
It was a historic decade for politics, with Ireland welcoming its first - and second - female president to Áras an Uachtaráin. Mary Robinson became President of Ireland in 1990 and was succeeded by Mary McAleese in 1997.

The decade brought hope for the situation in Northern Ireland, too. The peace process made progress unseen by previous decades, effectively bringing the Troubles to an end with the signing of the Good Friday Agreement in 1998.
The '90s were also kickstarted by an iconic year for sport. "Jack 'n the lads" brought about the glory days of Irish football, which culminated in Italia 90.
Whether you most remember the '90s for the fashion, pop culture, historic politics or sport, there's no denying it was an iconic decade across the board. Step back to that time with these nostalgic images of Dublin in the 1990s.
