The neighbouring small towns of Rush and Lusk are in north county Dublin, between Swords and Malahide to the south, and Balbriggan and Skerries to the north.

Just off the M1 and with a shared railway station, the two towns are well connected, which makes the area perfect for commuters.

And when you consider the pleasant countryside, sea air and beaches, a move to this part of Fingal may make perfect sense.

Parks and playgrounds

Ardgillan Castle & Demesne

Lusk’s housing estates have a few open spaces – sports pitches and tennis courts just off the Rathmore Road and more pitches at the Chapel Farm estate – while in Rush the main attractions are the beaches – north and south. There’s a third beach too at Rogerstown Estuary, a popular spot for birdwatchers.

A short drive away near Balbriggan, Ardgillan Castle – a large 18th century country house which is open to the public, set in rolling open grassland with great views of the sea and the Mourne Mountains to the north. There’s a walled garden, kids’ playground, cafe and a calendar of events.

Public transport links

The two towns share a railway station – Rush & Lusk is on the road between the two and has regular services to the city.

Fingal Express is a privately owned coach service from Skerries, Rush and Lusk to Dublin city centre and UCD, and Dublin Bus’s 33 route serves the area too.

And don't forget that Rush and Lusk are very close to Dublin Airport too - convenient!
