The Cedar Lounge in Raheny is one of the must-visit pubs in Dublin - especially for fans of The Snapper.
The popular boozer of choice for Sharon and her dad Dessie Curley celebrates its 60th anniversary this weekend. The occasion will be marked by live music, entertainment and food stalls.
The pub has a homey and clean atmosphere as soon as you walk in. There is a country vibe as well as the manager is from Tullamore and says that a lot of country people come in along with the "true Dubs".
While they usually do live music on the weekends, this weekend will be one to remember as they will have several bands playing. The Bandits will be playing in the Lounge on Friday evening from 7:30 onwards, then The Bowie Brothers will be playing at 9:30 upstairs.

On Saturday, there will be a music quiz with a DJ and The Highly Strung will play at 9pm in the Lounge. There will be a trad session at 6pm on Sunday.
There is talk the pub is going to celebrate another anniversary this November, a 30 year anniversary of the Snapper. Manager Niall Rowney was working in the pub in the 1992 when the famous scene with Brendan Gleeson was filmed. He told Dublin Live: "We were in the lounge around the corner as it was happening."
Along with a chance to drink your pint in the place where scenes of the iconic movie were filmed, customers can also opt to come for the big screen sports events the pub has, including the Rugby World Cup and the Premier League.
They also have a beer garden, a function room for special events and resident DJ Ciaran for all the functions upstairs.
When it comes to their food and drinks menu, customers can enjoy their signature cocktail The Snapper. They also have a wide selection of cocktails as well for a pretty decent price - every cocktail is €9.
Food-wise, the pub boasts with some truly delicious looking pizzas and small bites like chicken wings, meat and cheese platters, arancine, and Sicilian cannoli for dessert. Prices are also reasonable in a way you would rarely see in a Dublin pub anymore – the skin on fries are €3.50, the chicken wings are just €8, the arancine are €4.50 and the pizzas are between €13.50 and €15.50.
