Four Dublin pubs have been crowned regional winners of the Irish Pub Awards 2023.
Each year, multiple pubs across the country receive recognition across nine different categories, with an overall Irish Pub of the Year award being given in November. So far, four categories have declared winners.
In the Dublin region, The Belfry in Stoneybatter is the most innovative pub while Brady’s of Shankill has gotten the Best Local Pub award and Murray’s Bar is the Best Tourist Pub in the area.
The Merrion Inn meanwhile has been crowned the Best Food Pub in Dublin so foodies might want to keep that in mind when deciding where to go for their next dinner date.

Categories that have not yet announced winners include: Outstanding Customer Service, Best Music Pub, Best Outdoor Space, Best Late Night Bar and Best Digital Innovator.
The national winners in each category and the overall winner will be announced at the Gala Awards final on November 15 in The Round Room at the Mansion House, Dublin 2.
The overall award for Irish Pub of the Year will be awarded to the Irish Pub that, in the opinion of the judges, demonstrates “best in class” in the areas of innovation, creativity, ambiance, operational excellence and customer service.
The prize package for the overall winner includes a comprehensive management training package and an award plaque. They will also get national media exposure and an interview with the Irish Independent as well as individual prizes from sponsors such as Heineken, Diageo, Bulmers and Failte Ireland.
