A new "music led" boozer is opening in the old The Clock venue on Thomas Street.

The Clock was part of the Dublin 8 community for generations but closed in February. At the time, the pub said they "tried our best to keep it open. but as always in this country, money talks."

Two major businesses in the Dublin nightlife scene have now joined forces to bring a new bar to the venue. The Big Romance and Mother have created "Love Tempo", which will be a "music-led neighbourhood bar.

While no official opening date has been confirmed, the bar said they will be "coming soon". They wrote: "LOVE TEMPO: A music-led neighbourhood bar from the people behind The Big Romance & Mother will be lighting up Thomas Street very soon.

"We have loads more to share with you but in the meantime, give us a follow, stay tuned & remember, love and time is all we have."

The Big Romance is a vibey vinyl bar on Parnell Street that serves craft beers and cocktails. Mother is a queer nightclub on Grafton Street's Lost Lane.
