The M50 delays are both the southbound and northbound lanes of the motorway. Traffic is heaviest between the M50 northbound Junction 11 Balrathory and Junction 9 Red Cow where the travel time is 18 minutes. However, there are delays from Scholarstown all the way to Palmerstown.

On the southbound M50, there are delays from Ballyogan to Cherrywood where traffic gets even heavier until you reach Shankill. There are also mild delays from Finglas to Blanchardstown.

There are currently 397 traffic jams in the city and the average travel time per 10 km now is over 26 minutes, nearly 5 minutes above what's usual at the time.

Traffic delays

We received a report about heavy traffic delays on Greenhills Road from Kilnamanagh to the Walkinstown Roundabout. Gardai have someone pulled over right at the roundabout which is blocking a lane.

Palmerstown Bypass cleared

All lanes are now open on the Palmerstown Bypass, as the collision at Parkway West has been cleared, though some debris does remain. Delays of 20 minutes remain on the Chapelizod Bypass.

M1 collision and roadworks update

The collision on the M1 has been moved to the hard shoulder. Traffic remains slow in the area.

All lanes are now open on Temple Hill, as the roadworks at Monkstown Avenue have finished up. Long delays of 45 minutes remain from Sandymount.

Another collision

There was a collision on the M50 northbound after Junction 9 Red Cow. It was in lane 3 but quickly moved to the hard shoulder. There are delays of 30 minutes remain from Junction 13 Dundrum.

M1 inbound crash

There is a collision on the M1 inbound. It has been moved to the median but traffic is slow and may need to be stopped to release it.

Palmerstown crash

There is a collision on the Palmerstown Bypass. It's blocking the bus lane after Parkway West petrol station. There are delays of 25 minutes on the Chapelizod Bypass.

The Dublin Tunnel will be closed tonight.

Traffic update

Roadworks are in place on Temple Hill in Blackrock. They are blocking the left lane and the cycle path approaching Monkstown Avenue. Delays of 30 minutes from Mount Merrion Avenue.

There are no further updates on the demonstration in the city centre - LiveDrive reports it might have dissipated.

There are also no news on the M4 - the incident is believed to have moved on. The usual 5 minute delay remains on the Leixlip Bypass.

Barriers remain in place across Kildare Street.

M4 traffic stopped

LiveDrive listeners report that gardai have stopped traffic on the M4 westbound at Junction 6 Celbridge. There are no details at the moment but LiveDrive reports this is likely to be resolved soon.

M50 delays as two protests in city centre impact traffic

There are two protests this evening. Kildare Street has been closed all afternoon following an earlier demonstration, and remains so.

A demonstration is currently on the move from East Wall Road towards the Five Lamps. Protesters are currently making their way down Amiens Street, by Connolly station. Traffic is being allowed to follow behind them.

Currently, there are delays on the M50 southbound from Junction 16 Cherrywood to Junction 17 Shankill, as well as on the M50 northbound from Junction 11 Balrathory to Junction 7 Palmerstown.
