Luas Red Line services are operating with significant delays this evening following a crash in Smithfield earlier.
LiveDrive on Dublin City FM reported that a crash between a Luas tram and a car was blocking all lanes on Queen Street at approximately 1:30pm. The crash has since been cleared and all lanes have reopened to traffic.
However, Luas said in an update to customers that there are still significant delays on the Red Line. They said: "Due to significant delays this evening on the Luas Red Line. Luas tickets are now valid on Dublin Bus.
"Red Line services are operating with delays due to an earlier incident at Smithfield. We apologise for any inconvenience caused."

Dublin Tunnel north bore reopens
The Northbore has reopened but drivers have been told to expect delays. Southbore will reopen soon.
Long delays of 60 minutes in Dublin Tunnel as traffic continues to be held
The Dublin Tunnel remains held on both sides while Dublin Fire Brigade make safe a breakdown, LiveDrive on Dublin City FM reports.
There are long delays of 60 minutes from Sandymount.
Dublin Tunnel closed
Dublin Port Tunnel is currently closed in both directions due to a possible vehicle on fire.. Motorists have been told to avoid the area if possible. There are long delays of 30 minutes in both directions.
Breakdown causing delays on Chapelizod Bypass
There are reports of a broken down car on the Chapelizod Bypass, after the merge from Ballyfermot, according to LiveDrive on Dublin City FM. It's blocking the bus lane and there are delays of 15 minutes on the approach.
DART delays
The 15:00 Howth/Greystones service is running approximately 13 minutes delayed. As a result, the 16:34 Greystones/Malahide service will be delayed departing this afternoon.
