There have been several M50 collisions this afternoon that are heavily impacting traffic and there are hundreds of traffic jams in the city right now.
There has been a collision on the M50 between Junction 14 Sandyford and Junction 13 Dundrum northbound which has been moved to the hard shoulder. There are long delays of 60 minutes from Dundrum to Finglas. As well as that, there are reports of a car tyre in lane 1 at Junction 15 Carrickmines.
There were also a couple of crashes on the M50 southbound - one at Junction 3 M1 at 3:40pm which has just been moved to the hard shoulder, and a serious collision at Junction 5 Finglas earlier this afternoon. It was cleared at 2:54pm but delays remain. Motorists should expect delays of 60 minutes from Clare Hall shopping centre to Junction 6 Blanchardstown.
Traffic monitoring website TomTom is reporting 397 traffic jams right now.

All M50 incidents cleared
All lanes are now open on the M50 northbound, as the collision at Junction 11 Tallaght has been moved to the hard shoulder. Delays of 15 minutes remain from unction J12 Firhouse.
There are no other unusual delays or incidents to report.
Red Cow collision cleared
All lanes are now open on the N7 inbound, as the collision on the ramp to the M50 northbound has been moved to the hard shoulder. A short delay remains on the approach.
Meanwhile, the M50 Junction 11 Tallaght collision continues to block 2 lanes.
Traffic updates
The collision has been cleared from the M50 northbound at Junction 3 M1. Delays of 5 minutes remain from Junction 4 Ballymun and traffic is already trying to cut through to the runway.
All lanes are now open on Macken Street, as the bus has moved away from the railway bridge. Traffic is moving well in the area and Iarnród Éireann are preparing to resume services.

Third collision in hour
There has been another collision on the M50 northbound, this time at Junction 11 Tallaght. It's blocking lanes 2 and 3. Delays of 5 minutes from Junction 12 Firhouse.
Red Cow crash
There is a collision as you join the M50 northbound from the N7 inbound at Junction 9 Red Cow. It's blocking the left lane on the ramp. Delays building.
M50 collision
There is a collision as you exit the M50 northbound to join the M1. It's blocking the right lane. Delays of 10 minutes from Junction 5 Finglas.
Rail disruption details
A bus is stuck under the railway bridge on Macken Street, heading towards Grand Canal Street. The road is blocked and traffic is having to wait for a gap in the heavy oncoming traffic to pass.
Irish Rail services suspended as vehicle strikes bridge
Due to reports of a vehicle having struck a bridge in the area, Irish Rail services are currently suspended between Pearse St and Grand Canal Dock.
M50 northbound car tyre retrieved
All lanes are now open on the M50 northbound, as staff have retrieved the car tyre that was in the road at J15 (Carrickmines).
People are trying to avoid the M50
Extra delays being spotted on the routes people often use to avoid the motorways:
- By the M1, there's a 15 minute delay on R107 Malahide Road through Kinsealy and a 20 minute delay on Stockhole Lane.
- By M50 Junction 3, there's a 20 minute delay on Clonshaugh Road and all around Artane.
- By M50 Junctions 4-6, there's a 30 minute delay from the R108 South Perimeter Road to Kilshane Cross
- By M50 Junctions 7-11, there's 10 minute delays on Kylemore Road and around Walkinstown.
- By M50 Junction 16, there's a 10 minute delay on Glenamuck Road South.
- By M50 Junction 16, there's a 10 minute delay on Wyatville Link Road.
- By M11 Junction 5, there's a 20 minute delay on the R767 Dublin Road through Bray.
M50 southbound is starting to recover with 40 minute delays from Junction 3 M1 to Junction 9 Red Cow, and a 25 minute delay from Junction 15 Carrickmines to M11 Junction 6 Bray.
M50 northbound has a 30 minute delay from Junction 15 Carrickmines to Junction 7 Lucan.
