Met Eireann has issued a low temperature and ice warning for the entire country including Dublin which will see temperatures drop as low as -5C.
The Status Yellow warning will be in place from 6pm Thursday to midday on Friday. Met Eireann has said that it will be "very cold" with temperatures expected to fall below -3 degrees in many areas.
Frost and ice developing will cause "hazardous travelling conditions", says the national forecaster. There's also a chance of snow for much of the country, particularly the East Coast.
