Gardai have issued a road safety reminder after an e-scooter was spotted riding along Dublin's M50.
The incident occurred on Wednesday morning as the motorway was busy with commuters travelling to work. The male rider was wearing a hi-vis and a backpack but did not appear to be wearing any protective gear.
In footage posted on social media, the man can be seen riding in the middle lanes of the motorway and being overtaken by other vehicles on the road. He then moves into the slow lane to get off at the N4 exit.

A garda spokeswoman told Dublin Live: "Gardai responded to reports of a person travelling on an escooter on the M50 Motorway on Wednesday morning, 22nd November 2023, and a patrol was conducted of the area.
"An Garda Siochana reminds all road users of the requirement to comply with Road Traffic Legislation. If a member of the public observes a person using an e-scooter on a motorway the advice from An Garda Siochana is to report this incident when safe to do so."
