An elderly walker was rescued from they fainted while on a hike in Co Wicklow.
The Dublin-Wicklow Mountain Rescue team were alerted to the incident that happened on Saturday afternoon. The walker was on Bray Head when they suddenly fainted.
The DWMR team and Glen of Imall Irish Red Cross Mountain Rescue rushed to the scene. They assessed the patient who was brought down from the hill on a stretcher and transferred to an ambulance with the help of the Coast Guard in Greystones.
It was a busy day for the emergency services as only hours before they called to the scene of an incident at Bray Head. The team responded to help a person who had injured their ankle.

A DWMRT spokesperson said: "At lunchtime, we responded to help a person with an ankle injury. Our team doctor reached the casualty site quickly, assessed and treated the patient, who was then extracted from the hill on a stretcher and transferred to an ambulance.
