A grandfather who became a famous meme for accidentally eating paint instead of yoghurt has passed away at the age of 91.
The viral sensation known as "Paint-Eating Grandpa" has passed away at 91. Bobby gained internet fame in 2019 after his granddaughter, Alex, shared a picture of him mistakenly eating half a tub of paint.
His granddaughter has now said that he peacefully passed away in his sleep earlier this year. The news of Bobby's death was shared by his granddaughter on Instagram, where she posted an emotional statement along with a compilation of videos and pictures of him.
According to the statement, Bobby died in June, and his family and fans have been mourning his loss. The post also expressed gratitude for the support he received from people all around the world.

Bobby's granddaughter paid a sweet tribute to him, saying that he was someone who loved making people laugh and never minded being the centre of the joke. Her post read: "Today would’ve been Bobby’s 92nd birthday. For those who don’t know, he passed away peacefully in his sleep this June.
"And though he’s missed tremendously, he really did live a long, happy, healthy & fulfilling life as a doctor, musician, father, and grandfather. He loved nothing more than to make people laugh, so having the internet as his audience truly meant the world to him. Huge thanks to everyone who’s supported Bobby boy over the years — I’m confident you guys will keep his legend alive."
Tributes have been pouring in for Bobby, with many fans expressing their condolences and recalling the joy he brought to their lives through his lighthearted antics. Bobby's unique sense of humour and love for yoghurt endeared him to a global audience.
One comment on the statement reads: "RIP Bobby the GOAT. Core memory of me teen years was watching the videos of him being posted, always made me laugh and smile."

After gaining attention in 2019, Alex set up an Instagram account for Bobby to share his daily life and amusing moments with his followers. Described as a "retired psychiatrist, yogurt connoisseur, and your grandma’s favorite meme" in his bio, Bobby continued to entertain his audience until his passing.
