All tourists have their favourite spots in Dublin
Those flocking to the capital tend to go to things like The Guinness Storehouse, Kilmainham Gaol, Trinity College, and other famous landmarks. But while these places are definitely worth visiting, Dublin is full of little hidden gems that are also worth discovering, and one of them, according to the Irish Star, is a gorgeous hidden beach that you can reach after taking on a seriously delightful hike just north of the city.
Red Rock Beach is reached after about two and a half hours of hiking around Howth Head. The stunning beach makes for a gorgeous place to watch the sunset as well as a stunning swimming spot when the weather is right.
Once you stumble across it, you might be surprised to find that it is even there. But once you spend an hour or two in this gorgeous little spot, you will wonder why more people don't go there when they explore Dublin. While the Irish capital is known as an exciting urban center, there is plenty of nature to be experienced in and around the city. The Howth Head Cliff Walk is located in Howth.

Starting in the quaint town, where there are gorgeous restaurants, pubs, and shops, you will begin your ascent up to the summit of Hoeth Head. Here, you will be treated to incredible views of the town below as well as the Irish Sea. Continuing on, you will reach the Bailey Lighthouse and here, you will be treated to incredible coastal views as well as views across Dublin Bay to the south of the city.
While this is reason enough to explore Howth Head, and while it is the point where many people turn back to return to the town, there is a narrow little track just past the lighthouse that allows you to continue walking for another hour or so, taking in serene coastal views. And towards the end of your walk, you will reach the beach in question, a satisfying reward of a worthy hiking trail that seems miles away from the hustle and bustle of Dublin City. The trail brings you off the cliff path into the village of Sutton.
From there, you can get the DART back to Howth to reward yourself with some well-deserved food and a pint of Guinness, or, you can get the train straight back into the city centre.
