An OnlyFans star has given Dublin Live a look behind the camera and revealed what it's like to work as an online sex worker.

Sinead Connell, a 41-year-old from Dublin, has seen great success since joining the OnlyFans platform and has become well used to the stigma that comes with the profession.

"I'd rather be spoken about and noticed than not noticed at all. Attention is attention. Any comments is a boost to my page," says the mother of four.

Speaking to Dublin Live, Sinead revealed the work that goes into running her business, from custom videos to collaborating with other women to boost her profile.

She said: "I'm on OnlyFans. People subscribe to it monthly. My page is about $8.

"At the moment, I have over 1,000 pictures and videos that people will see if they subscribe to me. For an extra cost, they can get video calls off me, custom videos, sexting, voice messages, and they can buy video bundles."

Speaking about the video calls she offers, Sinead explained that for the most part she is in pyjamas on her couch but she might put on a school girl costume for an extra cost.

"People presume that I'm dressed up in all my kink gear doing my video calls. This couldn't be further from the truth. I am wearing no make-up in my pyjamas. That's another part of OnlyFans - they love the normality of it.

"If they did want me to change into something special, like a schoolgirl outfit or something, they are paying me extra because that's effort."

Sinead then showed us the room where she films her content, which has a 'Do Not Disturb' sign above it "so the kids don't walk in unexpectedly".

Since joining OnlyFans, Sinead has had to diversify the content she shares, working with other online sex workers for various videos. Having previously never even kissed another woman, Sinead has now worked with a number of other female OnlyFans stars.

She said: "It did kind of affect me at the beginning, the newness of it. Now, I've been with so many girls - probably more than the average guy in a year."

"Doing porn, you see the bad side of men," she told us. "There are men who are married who are on your page."

She added: "Every person you see doing porn is either a mother, a sister, a brother, a daughter. We all have separate lives outside of what we do.

"It's not a job that everyone agrees with. But there will always be online and in-person sex workers.

"I can be a good mom. Just because I'm doing porn, people think I'm exposing my kids to this seedy world.

"I can tell you now, my kids will never do porn."

Sinead is the subject of a new documentary 'Call Me Mommy'.

The flick aims to paint a full picture of Sinead and those who work in the sex industry.

According to Sinead, the film introduces audiences to a more multi-faceted depiction of her as a mother and online sex worker, and how she balances the two.

Call Me Mommy will premiere at Galway Film Fleadh this weekend.
