A mum who loves Halloween doesn't need to decorate her home, especially for the celebration. Sarah Adams is a self-proclaimed horror movie fanatic and has spooky decor all year round.
Speaking to interiors brand, Ruggable , Sarah Adams, from Banstead, Surrey, UK said: "I would say from the age of five-years-old, after watching Child’s Play, was when my love for Halloween and horror began. Halloween back then though wasn’t how it is now. It was more a bin bag and some plastic fang teeth - maybe even a plastic witch mask."
Since then, Sarah has created a spooktacular home decor, from a ‘Wednesday’ themed bedroom to a Beetlejuice-inspired bathroom and starts hanging up her Halloween decorations in July. She said: "My house is horror-themed all year round, but all the pumpkin decor and ‘Happy Halloween’ decorations come out in July - I mean, where’s the fun if your decor only comes out for one month of the year.

"We have a Beetlejuice bathroom, which is like that all year. Our kitchen is a very gothic style, too, with our newly painted black units and horror prints on the wall.
"My daughter has a ‘Wednesday’ inspired bedroom all year round as well, and my son has Marvel Halloween items in his bedroom such as bedding, pillows, throws and pumpkins.”
Sarah's favourite room in the house is her kitchen, she has painted the units black and changed the door knob to fit in with her theme. She says: "It’s the perfect kitchen for us and, again, not having to fork out loads on it was a bonus. We used scaffolding boards as shelving that we purchased from B&Q to help save money.”
Finally, Sarah has shared her top tips on how you can create a fang-tastic interior on a budget, as well as how to create the perfect Halloween tree. She said: “I’ve been collecting decor for years, whether that’s from charity shops, boot sales, Vinted or places such as Mad about Horror and Cosmic Comics.
"Colours for me would have to be black and orange - it’s a must. But, to ensure it’s not too dark, you would need a lighter colour to match it. We opted for a Homebase paint called Potters Clay - it’s incredible and goes with everything.
"I also find you can get creative with Halloween decorations by making them yourself. I’ve made handmade pumpkins from old clothing and I made our fireplace garland and even painted up old apple crate boxes, too.
"I think when people think about decorating trees they just feel they have to look for actual tree decorations, which isn’t always the case here. Almost all of our Halloween tree is decorated with non-traditional tree decorations. Instead, it’s a mixture of plush toys, plastic pumpkin lights, hanging decorations, fake cobwebs and some fairy lights.”
