Flogas sponsors planting of 22,000 trees nationwide

Energy company Flogas is celebrating the successful planting of 22,000 trees in partnership with the charity project Trees on the Land, more than doubling its original target of 10,000.The company sponsored the cost of planting a native sapling in various locations around Ireland for every new or existing customer that signed up to its electricity and natural gas Green Future tariffs in 2022. John Conroy, marketing manager, Flogas Ireland visited one of the tree planting sites near Conabury Hill, Castleblayney, Co Monaghan with Brian Gaynor, project co-ordinator with Trees on the Land.

Huawei Ireland launches new 2023 Seeds programme for ambitious STEM students

Huawei Ireland has launched the 2023 edition of its flagship talent programme ‘Seeds for the Future’. The 2023 ‘Seeds for the Future’ programme will be limited to 30 students with the eight-day virtual programme taking place on 25th September. Students will complete 15 hours of live courses and take part in Huawei’s TECH4GOOD global competition - which challenges participants to examine how to leverage technology to address pressing social and environmental issues. If successful in TECH4GOOD, Huawei will provide one of the winning teams with US$100,000 and coaching from a professional team to help them commercially realize their start-up plan.

Sodexo to deliver integrated facilities management for €250m Third Level PPP Contract

On-site services provider Sodexo Ireland will deliver facilities management and technical services in Dublin, Cork, Kerry and Westmeath as part of the €250 million (ex. VAT) Higher Education PPP project recently announced by Minister Simon Harris. It is Sodexo’s largest PPP project in Ireland to date.
