As many as 6,000 viewers tuned out of Friday night’s Late Late Show, according to the show’s latest ratings.
RTE figures reveal an average of 445,000 tuned in to watch guests including Blindboy Boatclub, Alastair Campbell and author Dr Katriona O'Sullivan. A spokesperson for RTE said: "Friday night’s Late Late Show was watched by an average audience of 445,000 on RTÉ One and RTÉ One+1 - with 40 per cent of the available audience watching on RTE One. On RTE Player, this programme has generated 31,000 streams to date.
"Across the Late Late Show social accounts, there were over 128,000 Total Interactions across the weekend with the clip of Katriona O'Sullivan amassing over 1 million views and counting."

It’s down 6,000 from the previous show, which attracted 451,000 viewers.
But viewers praised Dr Katriona O’Sullivan’s powerful interview, with many saying they’ve found the next President of Ireland. Many people were inspired after hearing Dr O'Sullivan’s story of being a young single mother cleaning toilets in Connolly Station to achieving a PhD, with multiple awards and research grants.
One person said: "Inspiration. This interview should be shown to every student teacher AND EVERY long serving qualified teacher. DESPITE our best we have no idea what some children go through."
A second commenter shared: "How amazing is @katrionaos I wish she would just starting running the country! A Powerful inspirational woman."
A third person wrote: "Absolutely powerful interview. Education is vital to help young people get out of poverty in the home & to reach their full potential. Take a bow @katrionaos, @MaynoothUni are incredibly lucky to have you."
With another social media user adding: "What a inspiration to people in Ireland! Running out to buy her book tomorrow. Would love to see her run for president next #latelate."
RTE are hoping for bumper ratings on December 1 when Take That perform live on the show. Show bosses are looking for Take That fans to be part of the studio audience for an upcoming live performance by the band.
The band's new album This Life will be released on Friday 24 November and the group will play a series of gigs in Dublin, Cork and Belfast next year.
