Laura Whitmore is a major contender to replace Holly Willoughby on ITV's This Morning.
Holly announced her resignation yesterday evening after 14 years presenting the breakfast show. This Morning has been shrouded in controversy after its former presenter Phillip Schofield admitted to a workplace affair with a much younger TV runner.
Laura's odds of taking over the popular show stand at 6/1, according to Ladbrokes. However, TV personality Rylan Clarke remains the firm favourite to land the gig with odds of 3/1.

Nicola McGeady of Ladbrokes said: "Fans have been in a frenzy since news of Holly Willoughby’s ‘This Morning’ departure and following mounting interest, we have opened the betting on who will replace the daytime TV veteran. While it’s still early days, the odds suggest Laura Whitmore is very much in the running."
Former Love Island star Maura Higgins is also in the running with odds of 10/1. Former Big Brother frontman Davina McCall is a further likely candidate at 4/1.
Laura previously was at the helm of ITV's Love Island as presenter until her resignation in 2022. The Bray native was also a team captain on ITV panel series Celebrity Juice before its cancellation last year.
