Liam Brady has recalled how legendary coach Jack Charlton used to accidentally mix his name up with that of serial killer Ian Brady.
The former Arsenal and Juventus star appeared on last night's Late Late Show, chatting to host Patrick Kielty about his phenomenal football career and his new book. But the Irish star reminisced on how Big Jack mistakenly called him the wrong name when revealing his team in the dressing room.
Liam explained: "He was picking the team and he went 'Moran you're number four, McCarthy you're number five'. He looked at me 'Ian you're number six, Ray Houghton you're number seven'.

"I said 'hang on a minute Jack, Ian Brady was the Moors murderer'. He said 'ah you know what I mean'."
Ian Brady and Myra Hindley carried out the Moors murders between between July 1963 and October 1965 in and around Manchester. The five victims were Pauline Reade, John Kilbride, Keith Bennett, Lesley Ann Downey, and Edward Evans, who were aged between 10 and 11.
Brady retired from international football during the qualifying campaign for Italia 90 after being substituted off during a friendly with West Germany. But he admitted he would have loved to have played at the tournament.
He explained: "That would have been the crowning part of my career. I couldn't play in the Euros (1988) because I got suspended and then we were going to qualify for Italia 90 when he substituted me, there was only two games to go and we were certainties to qualify because we had to beat Northern Ireland and Malta so we were going to qualify.
"But it ended as it did. I think if I had of had another kind of manager, he might have taken me, but there you go.
"I had a great career, I've been lucky, no regrets."
Liam Brady's new book 'Born to be a Footballer' is out now.
