There's no greater debate in Ireland than what brand of tea your family uses - and one of the country's most popular, Lyons, is introducing a big change.
The brand, known for their iconic pyramid teabags, are getting rid of well - the iconic pyramid teabags. Instead they're changing to a simple square shape and according to Lyons there's a good reason for it.
With the shape change comes a redesign of the packaging too, and a crafty new mug that people are raving over. But one concerned customer, who has been loyal to the pyramid, queried Lyons as to why the change was necessary. It turns out it's because of how we brew our tea.

They said: "Good question! And we have some good reasons to share with you. We took a long, hard look at how our customers were making tea and found out that most people in the country brew their tea for less than a minute. So, our Master Brewers got to work and have developed a new blend that delivers the same Lyons taste you love but in less time.
"Then we complemented that new blend with a new bag for the perfect flavour release. The two together help put our most full bodied, flavourful tea in your cup - ever. Time to put the kettle on!"
But not all customers are happy. One said: "This is the equivalent of Cadbury’s not being purple anymore, Aldi killing off Kevin the Carrot or Brennan’s not having old mr Brennan bring back the pyramids please!!". While another added: "It does not taste the same I now hate the taste went hunting for the old teabags."
But the loyalists didn't care about the shape. One said: "Square ,round, so long as its Lyons tea it's fine with me". And others welcomed the change, saying: "Hope the tea bags are stronger. Fed up of them bursting open in the mug."
