Irish discount retailer Mr Price has said their "doors are always open" to Supervalu employees in Ballymun and Kilkenny who are set to lose their jobs just weeks before Christmas.
As previously reported by Dublin Live, Supervalu confirmed that its supermarket in Ballymun is closing for good on November 17. In a statement, the retailer said the closure is due to the shop "underperforming for a sustained period" as well as "increased trading challenges".
The supermarket employs 45 people and it will operate as normal up until its closure next month. In a statement, Managing Owner Robert Murphy of Nan's SuperValu thanked staff for all their work and the public for their support.

The Supervalu in the Market Cross shopping Centre in Kilkenny will also close in November. It employs 38 people.
Taking to Facebook, Mr Price told those who have lost their jobs not to worry as the bargain retailer is hiring. "Calling all Ballymun and Kilkenny Supervalu workers, I’d love to have you join my ever-expanding bargain team," they wrote.
"Not to worry Supervalu workers! We're hiring and our doors are always open if you'd like to join."
Mr Price first opened in Ireland in 2010 and currently has 63 stores nationwide. The retailer has promised its customers that they will soon be able to shop online on their website.
