There's just one month left to enter a raffle to have a chance of winning a stunning Dublin city apartment.
The Kilmainham one-bedroom flat is being raffled off on Raffall.com on November 6 and will come fully furnished to the lucky winner. Tickets are capped at 120,000 and cost just €6 each, the same price as buying a ticket for the Lotto.
Owner Karen Sugden purchased the flat in 2006 but is now relocating to Paris for work. She decided that raffling it off would be better than selling it the traditional way as she can help someone get on the property ladder.
"You hear so much now about people not being able to get a mortgage, but at the time I was buying the banks were chucking money at you," she told Dublin Live.
"It would be such a nice opportunity for someone to get it and maybe have it as their first home. It's such a lovely little flat as well."
The first-floor flat is a five minute walk from Heuston Station and will come fully furnished to the lucky winner. Stamp duty and legal fees will also be covered.
Karen needs to sell a minimum of 70,000 tickets to break even by getting the value of the apartment and covering Raffall.com's charges. If she doesn't sell enough tickets by the draw date of November 6, then the cash raised from the tickets that were sold will be raffled off instead.
She has currently sold almost 30,000 tickets and is hoping that growing interest in the raffle and hard work will push her over the finish mark by November 6. "It's been a bit of a full-time job to be honest," she said.
"As soon I finish work I pull out my personal laptop and start doing stuff on there and thinking of ideas. It's been an interesting project though and when I get the result that I want and someone gets the keys to the apartment, I will be absolutely over the moon."
You can purchase a ticket on Raffall.com and keep up with news about the draw on Karen's Instagram page.
