Passengers on a Ryanair flight heading to one of the world's most popular mass pilgrimage sites were greeted by a rousing rendition of a Johnny Logan hit.
The Dublin to Lourdes flight was packed with children and adults making the pilgrimage as well as a rowdy group of lads heading off on a trip. One of them ended up taking the Ryanair intercom and belted out a rendition of "Hold Me Now".
While several people joined in with the lyrics and clapped after the performance, not everyone was amused. Those hoping for a relaxing flight were left disappointed.
Pete Farrell, who was taking kids to see the Lourdes shrine, said the entire experience "tested their patience". He tagged Ryanair in a tweet, saying: "Hello @Ryanair. I know you are not famous for your in flight entertainment but this is taking the piss. Me and the kids would like our money back please."

He told Dublin Live: "I run a little church group (not cool I know) and was taking over a few of the kids to see the shrine. Group of men arrived at the gate, they were mannered to start but proceeded to get more and more drunk. Not the worst thing in the world but certainly tested our patience. They certainly weren't going on a pilgrimage anyway!"
