Sean Cox is making incredible progress in recovery with the help of an exoskeleton, and he recently posed next to Dublin GAA legend Jason Sherlock.
The Meath father-of-three suffered brain injuries in an unprovoked attack before a Liverpool game in 2018. Sean has since undergone extensive rehabilitation.
In 2022 he returned back to his home in Dunboyne in Meath, where he requires ongoing care from his wife Martina and family.
Earlier this year, Sean began exoskeleton therapy treatment at DCU which has helped him to stand and even take a couple of steps. He also recently met ex Dublin GAA player Jason 'Jayo' Sherlock, who shared a sweet pic of them together.

It comes after Dublin won the All-Ireland football title against Kerry last Sunday in Croke Park. It was a dramatic final with a final score for the Boys in Blue of 1-15 to 1-13 for the win over Kerry.
Jayo previously played for the Dubs from 1995 to 2013, when he announced his retirement from the sport. And on the back of Dublin's sensational win last week, Jayo met Sean Cox who is also a big Dublin fan.
Jayo wrote on Twitter today: "As Dublin basks in the performance from some our finest ever to play the game, there isn’ta bigger supporter of the Boys in Blue than Sean Cox.
"It was inspirational to see Sean reaching new goals with his team recently. Sport doesn’t build character it reveals it."
Social media users praised Sean for his courage and wished him well in his continued recovery. One person wrote: "Well done an inspiration Sean best wishes & speedy recovery."
A second said: "Amazing progress onwards and upwards. Best wishes in the future Sean."
A third added: "Just wonderful. Up the DUBS & Sean."
