Sinn Fein will put down a motion of no-confidence motion in Justice Minister Helen McEntee this Friday morning, reports the Irish Mirror.
The motion has to be submitted formally to the Oireachtas before midday on Friday.
While the party had been deciding all week whether it would put down the motion following the riots in Dublin last week, the Irish Mirror has learned the party will submit the motion of no confidence this morning. It will be debated next week.

However, it is expected that the coalition will put down a motion expressing confidence in the Justice Minister and this will be debated on Government time rather than opposition time.
The Irish Mirror also understands that Sinn Féin will bring a separate motion to be debated next week on policing and community safety.
Sinn Féin has repeatedly said this week that it does not believe that Minister McEntee’s position is tenable following the policing response during last Thursday’s riots in Dublin. It called on Taoiseach Leo Varadkar to remove the Minister from her position or for her to resign.
Party leader Mary Lou McDonald stated last week that it would wait to see the Government’s response to the riots before deciding whether or not to table the no confidence motion.
She also said that she did not believe that the position of Garda Commissioner Drew Harris was tenable.
Ms McDonald is due to speak to the media this morning.
